TEDTalk: How to save the Earth from Space
Anna comes from a background in statistics and public health, and is broadly interested in using quantitative methods to understand ecosystem services that humans rely on for health and wellbeing. Her previous work has focused on air quality in California, including evaluations of the health effects of prescribed burning and estimations of ground level particulate matter using remote sensing. However, she has also worked on the socio-economic dynamics of HIV in French Guiana, and women’s empowerment in Niger.
Laura Spiekerman (’00), Cofounder and CRO at Alloy
TEDTalk: What Now for Women in Leadership
Laura Spiekerman is a cofounder and CRO at Alloy. Alloy’s API enables financial services companies to better manage their digital onboarding and identity requirements, increasing conversion and reducing fraud for banks and fintechs alike. Alloy works with both fintech companies and banks, including Marqeta, Petal, Brex, Radius Bank and others. Prior to Alloy, Laura lead Business Development & Partnerships at an ACH payments startup and was on the Research & Investment team at Imprint Capital Advisors (acquired by Goldman Sachs). Laura is a proud Barnard College alumna and lives in Oakland, California.
